Jacquard vs Printed Socks: Which Customization Is Right for Your Brand?

Table of Contents

When designing custom socks, the two main decoration methods are jacquard (woven) and printing. Each has trade-offs in look, durability and cost.

Jacquard (woven) socks

The pattern is knit into the fabric using different coloured yarns. Pros: extremely durable (design will not fade or crack), premium feel, works for complex logos and all-over patterns. Best for brand-defining hero designs. Available across crew, ankle and compression styles in our shop.

Printed socks

Design is applied to the surface after knitting (screen or digital print). Pros: lower setup cost for very short runs and photo-style graphics. Cons: less durable through washes, and the print can feel heavier. Good for promotional or seasonal items.

Which should you choose?

  • Brand hero or retail product – jacquard for longevity.
  • Event promo or one-off – print for speed and cost.
  • Mixed range – jacquard core line plus printed limited drops.

MOQ and production

Both methods start at our standard MOQ of 100 pairs per design. Production lead time is typically 15 to 25 days after sample approval. We supply Australia, UK, US and EU brands.
